The week of the show is incredibly exciting! Performing on a stage with your friends after months of rehearsals is hugely rewarding, but it is also hard work and tiring.
Reading all of this page (cast as well as parents, please!) will ensure 'Show Week' runs smoothly for everyone. Please take the time to understand this information, and get in touch if you have any questions.
Here's to a great week!

A member of the GS Team will be on the door to ensure everyone leaves safely and with the correct parent. Saturday collection time is 7pm.
If you are going to be late/ urgently need to speak to a member of the team, please call Ryan: 07595 226878 or Michelle: 07749 944846
Tuesday: Wales football match is being played at the Cardiff City Stadium, so this area of Cardiff may be busy.

- Those with long hair: extra bobbles/ hair grips
- No one should arrive wearing stage make-up; nothing more than your usual make-up (if any) is needed.
- Each cast member is responsible for their own costumes.
- Please bring deodorant, and use when needed!
GIRLS Costume key points:
- Flesh-coloured bra (or crop top for younger girls)
- Flesh-coloured tights (thicker the better to avoid any rips)

BOYS Costume key points:
- Plain, not-loose underwear (wide or nude in colour)
Please arrive wearing Scout/ Guide uniform on Saturday 25th November. If you have a Gang Show necker, you should also bring this with you.
Dressing Rooms & Backstage
- Please bring a big bottle of water to drink.
- Cast are allowed to bring snacks, but please remember eating chocolate and dairy products isn’t advisable when singing lots. Strictly no nuts, please.
- Please do not eat or drink whilst in costumes, apart from water.
- No cast member will be able to leave the theatre or backstage area during the interval or anytime during the show.
- No costumes are allowed beyond the backstage area.
- No friends or family will be allowed backstage at any time.
- First Aiders will be on duty throughout the week.
- Swapping dressing rooms at any point during the week is not possible. Cast will be told their dressing room when they arrive at Stanwell on Sunday.
- When not on stage, cast members will be expected to stay in your own dressing room! Cast will be called to stage when needed.
Personal Items
- Mobile phones/ electronic devices are fine to bring. However, all personal items are the cast member's responsibility.
- Only chargers, hair straighteners, or any other electrical equipment which have been PAT tested are allowed to be used.
- Jewellery and watches are not allowed on stage.
- Dressing Room Stewards are there to help, but not to pick up after cast members. Costumes and litter are personal responsibility - we have high standards of Scouts and Guides!
Theatre Safety
- Safety on stage is the priority. A stage has lots of moving parts (including from above) which increases the risk of injury.
- Following instructions from the Stage Team is vital to ensure everyone is safe whilst on stage.
- If a member of the stage team instructs a cast member not to go on stage or to move somewhere, this is not to spoil the show or upset anyone, this is to keep everyone safe. These instructions are to be respected.
Food on Saturday 25th November
- As there are two performances on Saturday 25th November, cast will need to bring food with them to eat between performances.
- If any of the cast would like to have some pizza, we are facilitating an order to Dominos. Please bring £5 cash if your cast member would like to have some.
- We will order margherita and pepperoni pizza only. However, if you have a dietary requirement, please tell one of the registration team on the day.
Break a Leg!
- When we perform at the New Theatre, cast often receive good luck gifts. However, as we are using a school, and will need to pack up the dressing rooms each night, please do not send gifts to the school.
- Parents/ Scout Groups/ Guide Units can also wish their young people good luck for Opening Night via Twitter - @CardiffGangShow
Finally...
We hope you have a fantastic show this year, and well done for all the hard work you have put into the show so far!
Finally, the most important note:
SMILE and enjoy Gang Show Panto 2023!
