We are so excited to be bringing back face-to-face Gang Show activities this September!
As it is gradually becoming safer for more people to gather together, we are very much looking forward to getting Gang Show activities going again. Currently, it is our view that it is too soon to set a definite date for a show in our usual format. We will make this decision when the time is right.
To ease ourselves back into Gang Show activities we are holding several workshops to allow young people in The Scouts and Girlguiding to brush up on their theatre skills, or just try something new! This is what Gang Show Recharge is all about!
Our production team are preparing a fun programme of music, acting, and dance skills to cater for all abilities.
We are welcoming all young people aged 9-18 from either movement to come along to these workshops. Spaces are limited, and booking is on a first come, first served basis. There is no charge for these events!
This is a great opportunity to reconnect with Gang Show or come along for the first time. Gang Show Recharge workshops are taking place on:
Sunday 19th September, 2:30-4:30pm - over 11s
Tuesday 21st September, 7-9pm - over 11s
Saturday 25th September, 2:30-4:30pm - under 11s
All sessions will be taking place at Bayden Scout Hall, Ferry Rd, Cardiff. CF11 0XR
Gang Show Recharge and COVID-19:
As with all activities, undertaken by The Scouts or Girlguiding, this event will have an approved Risk Assessment, allowing us to operate as safely as possible. A copy of this assessment will be shared with all who are attending Gang Show Recharge.
Exact requirements in order to keep everyone safe (for example, the need to wear a face covering) will be communicated in the reminder email a week before the event.
Elements of this event may take place outside in order to be as safe as possible.
Anyone (parent or child) showing symptoms of COVID-19 (new and continuous cough, high temperature, change/ loss of taste or smell) on the day they have booked to attend Gang Show Recharge should not attend. In this case, a COVID-19 test should be booked: gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test
Should restrictions change for youth activities between the time of booking and the dates of Gang Show Recharge, meaning that the format of the event will change/ need to cancelled, all participants will be informed as quickly as possible.
In order to comply with current restrictions, the capacity at Gang Show Recharge is capped at 25 young people. Should this relax, we are happy to increase the capacity.
Cardiff Scout & Guide Gang Show will always comply with the latest Welsh Government restrictions, as well as the guidance issued to us by the UK Headquarters of both The Scouts and Girlguiding.
